Arriving At The Ataturk Airport Istanbul

Most signs at the airports of Turkey are in English and you may go through the airport without having to speak any Turkish. You can also use the ground handling service buses from airports to the centre of the cities. Here are some expressions you will find useful to know.  

Turkish Airlines (THY) provide a vital network of domestic flights from the international airports.

     Şehir merkezindeki Marmara Otele taxi ne kadar tutar?

A: There are taximeters  in front of taxi drivers.You can check the

    price.

    Taksi şoförlerinin önünde taksimetreler vardır. Fiyatı  kontrol

     edebilirsiniz.

Q: Is the town very far from the airport?

     Şehir havaalanından çok uzakta mı?

A: Not really. It takes half an hour by taxi.

     Pek değil. Taksi ile yarım saat sürer.

Q: How do I get to İzmir by bus?

    İzmir'e otobüsle nasıl gidebilirim?

A: You have to go central garage.

     Otobüs garajına gitmek zorundasınız.

Q: Where can I change some money?

     Nerede döviz bozdurabilirim?

A: There are two banks near the exit for change.

     Çıkışın yanında döviz bozdurabileceğiniz iki banka var.

A: Porter please, get my luggage. Take my baggage to a taxi.

    Hamal, lütfen bagajlarımı al. Bagajlarımı taksiye taşı.

A: Driver, please take me to The Marmara Hotel.

    Şoför bey lütfen beni Marmara Oteli'ne götür.
