Public Transport
Parking is a serious problem in big cities of Turkey.
I suggest all visitors to get information about
parking before you intend to go any place by your car. Maybe taking a taxi will be more useful in the
cities.
Buses
If you are planning to use public transport, it's more practical to buy a smart ticket,
Ak-bil.
You can use it either at the bus stops or at the metro stations. There
are no discount options for tourists or families.
Dolmuş
It is a
special
public transport
service found only in Turkey. They are
collective
mini-buses
for 10-18 passengers and
operating on specific routes. Fares are specified
according for the distance traveled and
relatively cheap than taxis. The Dolmuş serves
within large cities, to suburbs, airports, and also
to neighboring towns.
Taxis
Taxis can be found in the streets in big cities
and are recognizable by their bright yellow color
in Turkey. It is also possible to call from the taxi stations.
The fare shown on the taximeter reads according to the distance traveled.
From midnight (24:00)
to morning (06:00) it will cost 50% more than the daytime fare.
In general most
taxis do not give receipts. If you need a receipt, please ask the driver
if he can give you one before you get on the taxi.

at the back of the taxi.

There are Rent A Car companies if you need a car in Turkey. It is
possible to make a reservation before you arrive. You can also get help

The
visa situation changes for the citizens of different countries.
Citizens of some countries can enter
Turkey with a valid passport a visa is not required
